Service: 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 15, at Butler Funeral Home, Bolivar. Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 14, at the funeral home.

Bret Allen Coleman, 59, of Bolivar died peacefully at home, Monday, Aug. 13, 2018.

Bret was born May 27, 1959, to Robert Coleman and JoAnn Zilliox Coleman. Growing up in the Clinton and Bolivar areas, his life was never dull and he always had a story to tell.

Bret was a man of many talents. He started working at a young age at the family business. He enjoyed working with his hands, whether on large equipment, motorcycles, boat motors, to most recently making jewelry out of silverware. Bret was an avid fisherman and would spend hours in his boat on the water. He loved fishing and he loved being a grandpa.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Coleman. 

Bret is survived by his mother, JoAnn Jackson, Bolivar; son Robert Coleman and wife Angie, Bolivar; daughter Stephanie Bradshaw and husband James, Bolivar; son Seth Coleman, Tulsa, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Amberlee, Evan and Hannah Coleman and Alexis, Olivia and Autumn Bradshaw, all of Bolivar; brothers Marty, Donald and Paul Coleman, Bolivar; aunts, uncles, cousins, many nieces and nephews, caring neighbors, and good friend Danny Noteware.

Services for Bret will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 15, at Butler Funeral Home, Bolivar. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 14, at the funeral home. Burial will take place in the Crest View Cemetery east of Bolivar. 

Memorial contributions may be made to CMH Hospice.
