Students earn GED from Bolivar AEL program

The following students received their GED from the Bolivar Adult Education and Literacy program during the 2011-12 school year: Faith Foster, Chelsey Grunlien, Cheress Lapham, Tina LeBow, David Presley, Paul Schenck, Hannah St. Clair, Amanda Stone, LindsayLee Webb and Zak Wilson.

The Bolivar AEL program is sponsored by Ozarks Technical Community College. Classes are held during the school year in the basement of the Bolivar R-1 Schools administration office. All adults age 17 and older who are not enrolled in school, are welcome to join and study for the GED, ASVAB and college entrance exams, or to improve the basic skills of reading, writing and arithmetic.

The new school year begins Monday, Aug. 27, at 9 a.m. for day-time students and 5:30 p.m. for evening students. For more information, call 326-5291, ext. 134, and leave a message.
