CRIMINAL CHARGES

The following new felony charges have been filed in Polk County Circuit Court:

Billy Derek Mincks, 38, Bolivar; class D felony possession of a controlled substance (2), class D felony 3rd-degree assault of a special victim, class E felony hindering prosecution of a felony, class E felony resisting or interfering with an arrest for a felony; held on $35,000 bond; due in court July 11. Mincks is accused of creating a distraction to prevent a felony arrest by completing a hand-to-hand drug transaction. He is accused of possession methamphetamine and oxycodone and is accused of assaulting an officer while being placed under arrest.

Ira Bruce, 33, Buffalo; class B felony assault in the 1st degree; held on $35,000 bond; due in court July 11.

Cases heard by Associate Circuit Judge John C. Porter:

Rusty Joe Bailey, born 1998, Bolivar; class D felony tampering with motor vehicle; 10 years prison; probation violation; probation revoked and ordered to serve three previously suspended seven-year sentences and 120 days shock detention. Bailey was originally placed on probation in February for class D felony stealing - $750 or more, class D felony stealing - all other property and class D felony possession of controlled substance.

Kyle E. Green, born 1991, Bolivar; probation violation; probation revoked and ordered to serve previously suspended six-year sentence and 120 days shock detention. Green was originally placed on probation in November 2017 for class C felony possession of controlled substance.

Louis Joey Leindecker III, born 1988, Springfield; class C felony conspiracy to manufacture controlled substance; seven years prison, suspended, five years supervised probation, $300 LERF and 20 days shock detention with credit for time served.

James Fred Price, born 1970, Bolivar; class D felony possession of controlled substance (2) and class E felony resisting arrest; six years prison and four years prison, respectively, suspended, five years supervised probation, $300 LERF, $150 lab recoup fee and 20 days shock detention with credit for time served.

Melissa R. Rogers, born 1974, Stockton; class D felony stealing - $750 or more and class C felony delivery of controlled substance; suspended imposition of sentence, five years supervised probation, $5,350 restitution, $300 LERF and 20 days shock detention with credit for time served.
