Polk County Genealogical Society will hold its regular monthly meeting Thursday, Oct. 6. The program, Evil Women of the World, will be presented by PCGS member Leta Gass.
Her presentation will be based on the book The Most Evil Women in History by Shelley Klein. Gass has chosen five women from the book to share. The evening will begin with a short business meeting followed by Gass’ presentation.
Members are reminded that the annual group photo of PCGS members will be taken before the meeting. Members are asked to be on the front steps of the library by 6:45 p.m. so the picture can be taken. Also, members are encouraged to bring a bag of candy to be used for the trick or treat night on the square at the end of October. Or they can bring a bag by the library during open hours.
The meeting, held at the PCGS library, will begin at 7 p.m. and is open to the public.
