Polk County Democrats to meet Oct. 20

The Polk County Democrats will be meeting on Oct. 20, at Basil and Bourbon restaurant 113 S. Main Street in Bolivar. For those who want to come early for dinner that time is 5-6:15 p.m. The meeting is at 6:30 p.m.

The meeting agenda will include updates from Jeff City, state/local issues, and events around the state. There will be petitions and referendums available to sign.

The guest speaker for the evening will be Jeanette Cass, candidate for the 4th Congressional district. Come and meet her and hear what she stands for and how her campaign is going. Jeanette Cass is a lifelong Missourian, a farmer, and a community advocate. She’s spent decades working the land, supporting her neighbors, and standing up for the values that keep rural Missouri strong. Now she’s ready to take that fight to Washington.
