The 2nd annual Rock the Rec was the complete flip side from the previous year. Nothing but sunshine and warm weather welcomed the crowd on Saturday, Sept. 10 for the event. Lots of fun for all ages, entertainment and a wide variety of yummy food and drinks.

“Our goal when we first started planning Rock the Rec last year was to provide an almost entirely free, fun, and unique event for the Bolivar community and surrounding area,” said City Administrator Thomas Relford, “ and I think we succeeded.”

“Last year was great, but Rock the Rec 2026 was bigger and better. We’re thankful for the clear skies and incredible community turnout this year.”

“Most importantly, I want to thank our sponsors, vendors, staff and Board of Aldermen for making this event possible. It wouldn’t be possible without everyone working together,” said Relford.
