The Polk County Genealogical Society placed flowers on graves as a service and fundraiser. Many of those ordering the flowers live out of the area or are unable to visit the graves of their loved ones or ancestors. This year there were 47 orders and PCGS volunteers placed flowers in 10 different cemeteries. There were 12 volunteers who helped with this project. This is the third year that PCGS placed flowers on graves and they are happy to be able to provide this service, giving people a way to honor their loved ones. The society plans to continue the project next year.
