The United States Small Business Administration is hosting a Rural Strong! event from 10 a.m. to noon, Thursday, May 30, at the Polk County Library in Bolivar. 

Rural Strong! is a lender and entrepreneur roundtable event designed to engage lenders and potential borrowers in discussions regarding increasing their lending in rural communities. 

 It also focuses on ways SBA and the United States Department of Agriculture can benefit their institutions and businesses by expanding their lending portfolio while minimizing risk.

Speakers will include Lisa Zimmerman with SBA, John Fleming with SCORE, Gail Noggle with Polk County’s Economic Development Alliance, Makeesah Munro with USDA Rural Development, Linda Bunch with the Bolivar Area Chamber of Commerce and Lance Coffman with SBDC.
