Paul and Shirley Cofer will celebrate their 50th anniversary together on Aug. 18, 2023. The couple first met in a chemistry class at Southwest Baptist University, where they were lab partners. They were later married on Aug. 18, 1973, at Calvary Baptist Church in Republic, by Rev. Max Stark.
