The absentee ballots for the April General Municipal Election will be ready for voting on Tuesday, Feb. 21. The Polk County Clerk’s office will be open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and open through the lunch hour for absentee voting.

Bolivar Intermediate School was covered with pretty girls, proud dads, flowers, ice cream and lots of smiles and laughter. The Valentine’s Daughter Dance, Thursday, Feb. 9, was a first time for third graders and a final time for fifth graders, to enjoy a fun evening of socializing and getting their dancing shoes busy.

Dale Thomas Medlock, 73, of Humansville went home to be with Jesus on Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2023. Dale was born on April 5, 1949, in Charleston. He married his wife, Connie Ruth Medlock, on March 1, 1968, in Brownsville, Tennessee.
