Palynn Inman and her friend enjoy going wherever Winchester, a Humane Society shelter dog, takes her during the Roy Blunt YMCA of Bolivar's 2018 Walk and Wag event.

The Roy Blunt YMCA of Bolivar will host a community dog walking event at 6 p.m. Friday, May 3.

T-shirts will be available for purchase.

The free walk will begin at the Y and proceed to Cribbs Family Youth Park.

Each walker may bring up to two dogs on leashes no longer than 6 feet. Dogs should be licensed and up-to-date on all vaccinations. Puppies under 3 months, aggressive dogs and female dogs in heat are not allowed to participate. Participants are encouraged to bring supplies to clean up after pets and to bring water for themselves. Water for pets will be provided along the way.

The walk will take place rain or shine.

Skates, roller blades, scooters/razors, bicycles and skateboards are not allowed.

Individuals who do not own a dog are encouraged to attend. The Y is working to provide dogs to those who want to walk one that day.
