The LWML Ladies Guild at Zion Lutheran Church held a chicken noodle dinner and bazaar fundraiser in November, and with the proceeds, they were able to support many local organizations. One of those organizations was the Heart of the Ozarks West (HOTO) chapter of Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA). Other organizations receiving funding were Alpha House, House of Hope, Community Outreach Ministries, S.O.A.R., Bolivar PD Shop with a Cop, and Care to Learn – Bolivar. more

On Saturday, Nov. 2, KLife hosted a gala event called “Sweet Impact”, complete with a jazz band, dinner, auctions, and a raffle. The event raised more than $80 thousand, $10 thousand more than their goal. The money raised goes toward the outreach and ministry of approximately 300 Polk County youth. All this fanfare was for a momentous occasion: celebrating two decades of the organization's outreach in Polk County. more
New Growth Transit is a community development corporation affiliated with West Central Missouri Community Action Agency that fosters regional economic growth through several innovative programs. New Growth Transit provides free, volunteer-driven rides for employment, medical appointments, and essential errands. New Growth Transit provides free rides to residents in these west central Missouri counties: Bates, Benton, Camden, Cass, Cedar, Dallas, Henry, Hickory, Laclede, Morgan, Miller, Polk, St. Clair, and Vernon. more
