A man from Brighton died in a motorcycle crash in Springfield Saturday morning.

According to a Springfield Police Department news release, Joshua Jiles, 33, died at the scene at around 9:15 a.m. Saturday, July 6, from injuries related to the crash.

The release said Gary Harbour, 62, of Springfield was turning left onto West Kearney Street from North Concord Avenue in a black 2001 Ford Explorer pickup when he struck Jiles, who was driving a silver 2006 Honda CBR1000RR motorcycle eastbound on Kearney. 

The intersection is partially controlled with a stop sign at northbound Concord, the release said.  

Next of kin has been notified.  

The investigation into the circumstance involved in the crash is ongoing, the release said.
