Polk County’s classes of 2019 are gearing up to graduate over the next few weeks.

The county's first graduates of the year will take their degrees this week, as three districts — Pleasant Hope R-6, Humansville R-4 and Marion C. Early R-5 — prepare for weekend commencement services.

Area commencements are planned for the following dates:

    •    Pleasant Hope High School, 7 p.m. Friday, May 10, in the middle school gymnasium. Doors open at 5.

    •    Humansville High School, 7 p.m. Friday, May 10, in the high school gymnasium.

    •    Marion C. Early High School, 7 p.m. Friday, May 10, in Mabee Chapel on the Southwest Baptist University campus in Bolivar.

    •    Fair Play High School, 7 p.m. Friday, May 17, in the school gymnasium.

    •    Halfway High School, 7:30 p.m. Friday, May 17, in the new gymnasium.

    •    Bolivar High School, 3:30 p.m. Sunday, May 19, at the field house on SBU’s campus.
