The Community Blood Center of the Ozarks will host several blood drives in Polk County in the next few weeks.

The first drive is from 1 to 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 31, at Citizens Memorial Hospital, 1500 N. Oakland Ave., Bolivar.

Other drives will be as follows:

• Noon to 4:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 4, at Fair Play High School.

• 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 5, at Marion C. Early High School.

• 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 6, at Pleasant Hope High School.

According to a CBCO news release, A-positive and O blood type reserves are at low levels. 

To be eligible to give blood, you must weigh at least 110 pounds, be in good health and present a valid photo ID.
