Bolivar’s Disabled American Veterans group plans to celebrate Flag Day and the U.S. Army’s birthday with a ceremonial flag retirement at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 15. 

A dinner featuring grilled hamburgers, hot dogs and bratwursts, along with potato and macaroni salads, will follow at 4 p.m.  

Bolivar’s DAV also plans to present Honor Flight of the Ozarks Director Chris McQuay with an over $1,065 donation check during the group’s noon lunch Monday, June 24. The funds were raised at the recent Polk County Veterans Homecoming event.  

The Bolivar Memorial DAV building is at 1250 E. Wollard St.
