George Clark and Martha Buckner Hale were married on March 8, 1963, in Pleasant Hope. They began their life together on the family farm in Polk. There they raised livestock and crops as well as four children, George Hale, Dr. James (Heather) Hale, Mike (Ebbe) Hale, and Susie (Ty) Heavin.
