The commencement ceremony took place at Bolivar High School and recognized 20 LPN graduates and one MA graduate.

The LPN students began their program in January 2017 and spent three semesters learning and practicing the skills that they will now be using in their workplace. Over the next several weeks, these 20 students will be taking the NCLEX exam to earn licensure and begin their new careers in clinics, hospital and long-term care facilities all over the area.

The 20 graduates are Samantha Harness and Ashley Allen, both of Humansville, Tori Foster, Jessica Crawford, Tyson Gillis, Samantha Coats and Jessica King, all of Bolivar, Tia Foreman of Republic, Jessica Scott of Quincy, Amanda Marquis of Collins, Whytney Woodward of Elkland, Rhonda Forsythe of Stockton, Laura Anderson of Ash Grove, Brianna Kennedy and Macala Rife, both of Wheatland, Angela Dismang of Tunas, Amber Leal of Cross Timbers, Felicia Rivera, Jessica Johnson and April Jones, all of Springfield.

Annie Melton of Dadeville also graduated from BTC with her MA associate’s degree. She completed her program in December after spending time in the classroom, skills and simulations lab and facilities in the area during her externship. Melton will soon be taking her exam to become a Registered Medical Assistant.

The next medical assistant program at BTC begins in January, the next LPN to RN Bridge program begins in May, the next Professional Nursing (RN) program begins in August, and the next LPN program begins in January 2019. For more information on BTC’s upcoming programs, call 777-5062.
