Saturday, Sept. 10, was the perfect day for the annual Country Days event. There was something for everyone, numerous vendors, food to please everyone, entertainment on the streets and games for youngsters to enjoy! The square and adjoining streets were overflowing, the event just gets bigger and better every year. Students, both new and returning, eagerly awaited the commencement of the fall semester, which officially began on Aug. 28. Liberator soccer prevailed in their match at home against Rolla on Tuesday, Sept. 5. The team showed fantastic perseverance throughout a physical game. Headed by seniors and captains Jonathon Peters and Ben Tull the defense withstood Rolla’s aggressive offense. Standing out with many crucial saves to secure the overtime victory was sophomore goalkeeper Wyatt Viles. more

The Rolla Bulldogs started the Labor Day weekend with a football game in Bolivar's home field Plaster Stadium. Rolla came off a loss to Camdenton the week before 41-21. They brought a young team and a new coach trying to find some traction for their first win. more
Bolivar Mayor Christopher D. Warwick signed a proclamation on Friday, Sept. 1, declaring Sunday, Sept. 17, as Constitution Day and the week of September 17-23 as Constitution Week in Bolivar. He was joined by representatives with the local Matilda Polk Campbell Chapter of the National Daughters of the American Revolution. more
