For those hoping to catch an upcoming Springfield Cardinals Minor League Baseball game, next Tuesday, June 11, may be in your strike zone.
Bolivar Night at the Springfield Cardinals, an annual community tradition, is scheduled for Tuesday at Hammons Field in Springfield.
Gates open at 5:30 p.m., and the Cardinals will face off against the Midland RockHounds at 6:30.
Individuals or groups looking to purchase tickets may do so through the Bolivar Area Chamber of Chamber office now through Monday, June 10. Tickets will be available for pick up at the will-call office at Hammons Field on Tuesday, June 11.
“The Bolivar Night at the Springfield Cardinals is an annual tradition that brings our community together,” Jenny Fields, chamber committee chair, said in a news release.
Cheers! Elite Spirit Gym and Tumbles Gymnastics and Cheer will provide the pre-game entertainment, according to previous BH-FP coverage.
Gail Noggle, director of economic development, won the rights to the first pitch during the chamber’s After Hours event in April. Noggle has selected her grandson, Miles Jatho, to throw the first pitch of the game, the release said.
Bolivar Intermediate School singers will sing the national anthem under the direction of Kris McClard and during the national anthem, Bolivar youth baseball players will stand alongside the Springfield Cardinals team.
Those who have already ordered T-shirts and tickets may pick them up at the chamber office from 9 a.m. to noon and from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, June 7, and Monday, June 10. Extended office hours will be available. Check the chamber’s Facebook page for more information.
