The Bolivar City Fire Department celebrated the accomplishments of its staff in a pinning and promotion ceremony at Bolivar City Hall on Wednesday, June 24.

Two probationary firefighters, McKenna Clift and Duke Jones, were pinned as firefighters. Clift joined the department in September 2018, and Jones joined in December 2018, a news release said.

Also, probationary firefighter Chris Sidebottom was promoted to lieutenant. The release said he’s worked with the department since January 2020.

While all three firefighters accomplished these milestones earlier in the year, the promotion ceremony was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the release said.
