Bolivar Night at the Springfield Cardinals, an annual tradition, has drawn more than 1,030 pre-game ticket sales, the Bolivar Area Chamber of Commerce announced Thursday, June 6.

The sum represents the largest number of pre-game ticket sales to date.

The game is at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 11, at Hammons Field in Springfield. Gates open at 5:30.

Cheers! Elite Spirit Gym and Tumbles Gymnastics and Cheer will provide the pre-game entertainment. Gail Noggle, director of economic development, won the rights to the first pitch during the chamber’s After Hours event in April and has selected her grandson Miles Jatho to throw the first pitch of the game.

Bolivar Intermediate School singers will sing the national anthem under the direction of Kris McClard, and during the national anthem, Bolivar youth baseball players will stand alongside the Springfield Cardinals team.

Tickets are $10 each and may be purchased through the chamber office prior to 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 11.

Call 326-4118 or e-mail for more information.

Tickets purchased on Monday or Tuesday will be available for pick up at the will-call office at Hammons Field Tuesday evening.
