Citizens Memorial Hospital’s Sports Medicine Center will host a week-long performance camp for middle school athletes from 9 a.m. to noon Monday through Friday, July 15 to 19, at Southwest Baptist University. Cost is $60 and preregistration is required.

According to a CMH news release, the camp is designed to assess an athlete’s movement in regard to their physical performance.

Each student athlete will undergo a movement assessment by CMH athletic trainers and become educated on proper movement techniques that are personalized to their own physical abilities. There will be an additional education component focused on healthy life choices, including nutrition, hydration, mental health and mindfulness, as well as teamwork and leadership, to prepare the students for the physical and social demands of high school athletics.

Reservations are requested. For more information, call the CMH Sports Medicine Center at 777-7763 or visit facebook.com/CMHSportsMedicine.
