Brendan Cossette, Chief Operating Officer of the Missouri State Chamber of Commerce, will lead a panel discussion at the Thursday, July 11, Chamber Networking at Noon luncheon.

The discussion will focus on health coverage — as part of the Missouri Chamber of Commerce, members of the Bolivar Area Chamber of Commerce are eligible to participate in group health insurance as well as receive discounts, according to a chamber news release.

“Many small businesses do not have enough employees to qualify on their own for group coverage,” Chamber President Jared Taylor said in the release. “As a member of the Bolivar Chamber, businesses qualify to participate in group health coverage available through the state chamber. This coverage allows smaller businesses to benefit as a part of a large consortium of member businesses from across the state.”

Taylor said Cossette will provide details about the coverage, as well as how a Bolivar Chamber member may benefit and apply. Bolivar Chamber members Employee Benefit Design and Ollis/Akers/Arney are the two local insurance providers authorized by the state chamber to write such policies.

“Our membership has several outstanding insurance providers, including these two,” Taylor added. “Many of our members receive health coverage through them. For our members who perhaps have not found coverage, working through the state chamber’s program may be of benefit to them. I encourage everyone to attend the luncheon to learn about the benefits program through the state chamber.”

Representatives from both Employee Benefit Design and Ollis/Akers/Arney will be on hand to help with the discussion.

The Networking at Noon luncheon takes place at the CMH Community Rooms. Lunch starts promptly at noon, and the cost is $6 per person.
