A week after an EF-0 tornado touched down near Fair Play and scattered debris across Larry Youngblood’s family ranch near Mo. 123, Fair Play’s County Line Cruisers — a car club — went to the ranch and helped clean up the remnants of a ruined building and fallen trees.

“Clark’s a member of our car club, so we decided to come out and help him and clean it up,” County Line Cruisers member Greg Bass said.

The club began in July 2019 and has around 50 members, Bass said.

He said the members will try to do more activities like this as the club keeps going.

“We helped three families there during Christmas, and this, and we’re hoping to do more as it comes in,” he said. “I think it’s a good thing. Helping somebody out —  that’s what we want to do.”
