CRIMINAL CHARGES

The following new felony charges have been filed in Polk County Circuit Court:

Douglas Austin Moore, born 1968, Springfield; class D failure to register as a sex offender; summons issued; due in court Aug. 14. 

Reed Douglas Harshman, born 1991, Springfield; class E felony first-degree harassment (2); warrant issued; $25,000 bond. 

Theodore Wallace Harpool, born 1969, Osceola; class E felony passing bad check; warrant issued; $25,000 bond. 

CIRCUIT COURT ACTIONS

The following actions were taken last week in Polk County Circuit Court. Dollar amounts listed are for fines only; court costs are in addition to the fine. Amended charges were amended by the prosecutor.

Cases heard by Associate Circuit Judge John C. Porter:

Rex Eugene Bennett, Buffalo, born 1981; class D felony stealing — motor vehicle/watercraft/aircraft; suspended imposition of sentence, five years supervised probation.

Jesse Cleve Coop III, Springfield, born 1991; class D felony possession of controlled substance; suspended imposition of sentence, five years supervised probation.

John Kenneth Fetters, Bolivar, born 1990; class E felony third-degree assault; four years prison, suspended, five years supervised probation.

Cynthia Lee Newsom, West Burlington, Iowa, born 1972; class D felony possession of controlled substance, misdemeanor possession of marijuana and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia; suspended imposition of sentence, five years supervised probation, $40 in fines.

Terri G. Sanderford, Nixa, born 1970; class D felony possession of controlled substance; suspended imposition of sentence, five years supervised probation.

Donald E. Gardner, Springfield, born 1964; probation violation; probation revoked and ordered to serve previously suspended four-year and seven-year prison sentences. Gardner was originally placed on probation in 2013 for class D felony possession of controlled substance and class C felony first-degree endangering welfare of child.

Jimmia Lee Campbell, Humansville, born 1985; class D felony possession of controlled substance; suspended imposition of sentence, five years supervised probation.

Jason M. Colba, Bolivar, born 1976; probation violation; probation revoked and ordered to serve previously suspended five-year prison sentence, with possibility of probation pending completion of institutional treatment program. Colba was originally placed on probation in 2014 for class C felony second-degree domestic assault.

John L. Richardson, Springfield, born 1990; probation violation; probation revoked and ordered to serve previously suspended five-year prison sentence with possibility of probation pending completion of institutional treatment program. Richardson was originally placed on probation in 2018 for class C felony passing bad check.

Cases heard by Associate Circuit Judge Elizabeth V. Rohrs:

Vainini Epenesa III, Monett, born 1992; class C felony first-degree tampering with motor vehicle and class D felony leaving scene of motor vehicle accident — injury, property damage or second offense; suspended imposition of sentence, five years supervised probation.

John L. Richardson, Springfield, born 1990; probation violation; probation revoked and ordered to serve previously suspended six-year prison sentence with possibility of probation pending completion of institutional treatment program. Richardson was originally placed on probation in 2018 for class D felony possession of controlled substance.

Roger Lee McCloud, Flemington, born 1949; class D felony possession of controlled substance; six years prison, suspended, five years supervised probation.

Anthony Eugene Powers, Springfield, born 1980; class B felony second-degree trafficking drugs; 15 years prison.

James Warren Bayer, Bolivar, born 1980; probation violation; probation revoked and ordered to serve previously suspended four-year prison sentence. Bayer was originally placed on probation in July 2018 for class E felony third-degree domestic assault.

Larry Huynh, Bolivar., vs. Harvey Agee, Bolivar and Anna Agee, Bolivar; rent and possession; judgment against the defendants for $750 and $500 security deposit plus court costs, and possession of the premises located at 909 S. Albany Ave., Bolivar.

Wakefield & Associates Inc, Jefferson City, vs. Justin Lee Davis, Bolivar; suit on account; default judgment against Davis for $1,450 and 9-percent annual interest, plus court costs.

Milton Dickensheet, Bolivar and Debbie Dickensheet, Bolivar, vs. John Goff Sr., Bolivar, Lillie R. Goff, Bolivar and John R.   • Roy Cox, 36, of Bolivar was arrested on a warrant for displaying/possessing plates of another, failure to wear a seat belt, failure to register as a sex offender, operating a vehicle without a valid driver's license, possession of controlled substance, stealing and possession of paraphernalia.
  • A 35-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of possession of controlled substance and possession of paraphernalia.
  • A 33-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia. 

Saturday, July 6

  • A 33-year-old Marshfield man was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated.
  • Brandy Grisham, 19, of Morrisville was arrested on a warrant for delivering/possessing controlled substance at a jail, operating a vehicle without a valid driver's license and possession of controlled substance.
  • Tony Askins, 45, of Springfield was arrested on a warrant for operating a vehicle without a valid driver's license and possession of paraphernalia.
  • Damon Tate, 37, was arrested on a warrant for assault, possession of controlled substance, violating parole and possession of paraphernalia.
  • Jonathan Piper, 35, of Bolivar was arrested on a warrant for driving while revoked/suspended, operating a vehicle without a valid driver's license, shoplifting, tampering with a motor vehicle and possession of paraphernalia.
  • A 32-year-old Bolivar woman was arrested on suspicion of possession of controlled substance, receiving stolen property and possession of paraphernalia.
  • A 41-year-old Humansville man was arrested on suspicion of possession of controlled substance and possession of paraphernalia.
