The Polk County Sheriff’s Office released the following reports for:

Friday, May 17

• Jesse Brock, 37, of Dunnegan was arrested on a warrant for failure to pay child support, operating a vehicle without a valid license and operating a vehicle with no insurance.

• A 31-year-old Humansville man was arrested on suspicion of stealing.

• Andrew Bilbrey, 25, of Urbana was arrested on a warrant for driving while revoked/suspended, failure to register a vehicle, failure to show proof of insurance and possession of paraphernalia.

• Joe Walters III, 34, of Portagville was arrested on a warrant for possession of controlled substance and tampering with a motor vehicle.

Saturday, May 18

• Lisa Cayer, 49, of Wheatland was arrested on a warrant for financial exploitation of elderly/disabled person, property damage, shoplifting and stealing.

• Mark Cayer, 52, of Wheatland was arrested on a warrant for financial exploitation of elderly/disabled person, property damage and stealing.

• A 38-year-old Pittsburg woman was arrested on suspicion of unlawful possession, transport, manufacture, repair or sale of illegal weapon.

• Kathleen Bauer, 39, of Springfield was arrested on a warrant for speeding.

• Curtice Alderman, 37, of Springfield was arrested on a warrant for tampering with a motor vehicle.

• A  32-year-old Springfield man was arrested on suspicion of possession of controlled substance.

• Jeffrey Trobee, 43, of Bolivar was arrested on a warrant for operating a vehicle with no insurance and stealing.

• A 32-year-old Estes, Colorado, woman was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated, possession of marijuana, resisting arrest and possession of paraphernalia.

• Logan Stokes, 25, of Springfield was arrested on a warrant for failure to wear a seat belt, operating a vehicle of another with no insurance and operating a vehicle without a valid driver’s license.

• Scotty Christopher, 47, of Fulton was arrested for violating parole.

• Deputies responded to Rt. O and South 47th Road for an animal call.

• Deputies responded to Rt. AB and East 552nd Road for a road hazard.

• Deputies responded to the 5000 block of South 164th Road for a dispute not in progress.

• Deputies responded to Rt. YY and South190th Road for a careless and imprudent driver.

• Deputies responded to the 900 block of East 330th Road for an alarm.

COMMISSION MINUTES

According to the minutes, Polk County Commissioners Shannon Hancock, Rex Austin and Kyle Legan conducted the following business during recent meetings of the commission:

Monday, April 29

• Hancock, Legan and Austin present.

• Minutes of last session approved.

• Juvenile detention officer Brad Turner visited with the commission.

• Bids for cold mix/asphalt mix blend received.

• Legan moved to accept all bids received. Austin seconded the motion. Vote unanimous. 

• Bids for road oil received. Legan made a motion to accept bid from Apac-Central. Austin seconded. Vote unanimous.

• Public Works Supervisor Danny Crites updated the commission on county road conditions.  Crites, Hancock and Legan viewed  East 390th, South 92nd, South 105th and East 420th roads. 

Tuesday, April 30

• Hancock, Legan and Austin present.

• Minutes of last session approved.

• Mike Gardner, Bolivar, visited with the commission regarding the building purchased at 102 E. Jackson, and the proposed purpose of the building.

• Crites updated the Commission on county road conditions. Crites and Austin viewed South 102nd, South 107th, East 506th, East 514th and East 480th roads.

• John Coleman and Bill Wheeler with Entegrity Energy of Fayetteville, Arkansas, visited with the commission regarding ways to make county facilities more energy efficient.

• The April 2019 circuit court disbursement listing detail report was received from Circuit Clerk Tiffany Phillips.

Thursday, May 2

• Minutes of last session approved.

• The commission met with Angie Snyder, Barbara Lucks, Vanessa Brandon and Erick Roberts, representatives from Ozarks Headwaters Recycling & Materials Management District and Michelle Morris, Director of the Polk County Health Center to discuss the baler, forklift and shredder tipper that is available for reassignment.

Friday, May 3

• Minutes of last session approved.

• The April 2019 Add-on and Abatement Court Orders were received from Collector Debbi McGinnis on Wednesday, May 1, 2019.

• The April 2019 statement of collections report from Collector Debbi McGinnis, the county clerk collection report from County Clerk Melinda Robertson, report of fee report from Assessor Carolyn Page and the treasurer’s balance report from Treasurer Shirley Allison were received Wednesday, May 1.

• Harlan Skinner of Bolivar visited with the commission regarding East 500th Road.

• Crites updated the commission on county road conditions. Crites and Austin viewed South 222nd, East 564th, South 173rd and East 565th roads.

• Mark Sconce of Walnut Grove visited with the commission in general discussion.

• Terry Butler of Bolivar visited with the commission regarding East 358th and South 120th roads.

• The April 2019 civil/criminal fee report was received from Sheriff Danny Morrison.
