Pleasant Hope Middle School students will begin the 2019-20 school year under the direction of a new leader.
Lance Gallamore, previous assistant principal at Pipkin Middle School in Springfield, will step in to the position as principal following the departure of Brent Dunning, according to a news release.
Dunning served in the district for the past three years, both as middle school principal and ranch director. He will take on the position of director of student learning at Marion C. Early starting this fall.
“We wish him the best and know he will do a good job for Marion C. Early,” R-6 Superintendent Kelly Lowe said in the release.
Lowe said the district looks forward to the addition of Gallamore to their leadership team.
“We are extremely excited to have Mr. Gallamore as our administrator,” he said.
Gallamore will officially start as middle school principal August 1.
