Runners are getting in shape for the 44th annual Polar Bear Run that is set to take place on Saturday, Feb. 18.
The Polar Bear Run is the longest standing, continuous road race in southwest Missouri. Hosted by the Bolivar Running Club, the event will raise funds to benefit the Bolivar Liberator Cross Country program.
The race will start at 9 a.m. at the Southwest Baptist University Student Union. Runners will need to be there between 8 a.m. and 8:45 a.m. to pick up their packets and, if they haven’t already, register to participate.
Anyone interested in participating can pre-register by visiting actnowracing.com, clicking on the Events tab, and locating the Polar Bear Run event. Pre-registration costs $30 for 5K runners and $40 for 10K runners.
Registration on the day of the event costs $35 for 5K runners and $45 for 10K runners.
