Posted

Community Outreach Ministries (COM) is hosting their first annual “Polk County’s Got Talent”
fundraiser at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 24 at Bolivar High School.

A spinoff of the popular television talent show, America’s Got Talent, the fundraising event will
highlight the talent of ten local individuals and groups.

“We are so excited for this event,” says Erin Anderson, current Board President of COM. “We
have some great performers in the show that will be doing everything from various styles of
music to comedy, tumbling and more. It’s an affordable night out and the audience will help in
choosing the winner, so we hope to see lots of people from our community there.”

The event will take place in the Bolivar High School Auditorium and will also feature an online

silent auction in addition to the entertainment happening on stage.

Tickets are just $10 if purchased before Sept. 18 and can be bought online at
bolivarcom.org/gottalent or at Compassion Thrift, located at 314 S Market Ave.

Tickets purchased after Sept. 18 or at the door will cost $15.

Children under the age of 5 are free.

The event benefits Community Outreach Ministries which operates a food pantry and case
management programs that seek to alleviate food insecurity and poverty in Polk County.
