The Matilda Polk Campbell chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution, will hold the monthly meeting at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 15, at Open Hearts United Methodist Church, Bolivar.
In lieu of a program, the chapter will be celebrating their 25th anniversary with guests from the State society in attendance.
The celebration will also be a Day of Service. Ladies are encouraged to bring books suitable for children Pre-K through high school that will be donated to a local school, or boxed or canned items for the local food pantry, or personal products to pack a purse for ladies entering the domestic violence shelter. Ladies will also be signing cards of encouragement for active duty military personnel.
The National Society Daughters of the American Revolution is a patriotic service organization for women who can trace their lineage to a Revolutionary Patriot, who is someone that provided material benefit to the Revolutionary cause. Daughters are passionate about community service, preserving history, educating children, as well as honoring and supporting those who serve our nation.
All meetings are free and open to the public.
