Fatal car wreck south of Bolivar

A fatal car crash took place south of Bolivar at around 6:15 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 14.

According to a social media post by the City of Bolivar, a 79-year-old woman from Kansas City, Missouri, was injured in a single-vehicle rollover at the intersection of Mo. 13 and East 490th Road and died while en route to the hospital.

The woman’s name has not yet been released to the public, and as the post stated, the Bolivar Police Department has notified the next of kin.

Officers suspect that the cause of the crash was due to equipment failure, and they are continuing to investigate the wreck, per the post.
