Glowing festivities

Posted

The annual Glow Walk took place at the Light The Park event on Sunday, Nov. 27. It was a beautiful night and the park was filled with lights, laughter and Christmas cheer. Area businesses have filled the Dunnegan Memorial Park with displays for the holiday season. Light The Park is open from now until Friday, Dec. 30 for families to enjoy from their vehicles.

“The Glow Walk has become a yearly tradition for many families in the community and an event our Kiwanis Club looks forward to hosting every year,” said Kiwanis Club president Paul Folbre.

“We handed out over 250 cookies, over 15 gallons of hot cocoa, and over 300 glow sticks. We raised over $500 which will go directly to bettering kids and youth organizations in our community. Overall it was a great night.” said Folbre.
