Posted

A man and woman from Bolivar were hurt in a two-car crash at 1:25 p.m. on Monday, March 20 in Humansville.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, Richard W. Ogden, 63, was northbound in a 2020 GMC Terrain when he and his passenger, Waneta M. Ogden, 66, were injured after their vehicle was struck by a 1996 Freightliner tractor/trailer.

The Freightliner, driven by Leland R. Jones, 33, of Bolivar, was eastbound on Mo. 123 in Humansville, when, as the report says, Jones attempted to cross the northbound lanes of Mo. 13 and struck the left side of the Ogdens’ GMC.

Richard Ogden had minor injuries, and Waneta Ogden had moderate injuries, the report states. They were both transported by ambulance to Cox South Hospital in Springfield.

No injuries were listed for Jones. All three people involved in the crash were wearing seatbelts, per the report.

The GMC was totaled and towed by A&J Towing of Bolivar, and the report says that the Freightliner had minor damage and was driven from the scene.

Cpl. J. R. Rorie investigated the wreck.
