The Liberators charged into the quarterfinals round of the Class 4 District 7 tournament against Warrensburg, emerging victorious 31-14 Friday, Oct. 29.

To start off the game, Colin Ames kicked in the first score of the night — a field goal which gave the Liberators a 3-0 lead.

After the first score was tallied, Warrensburg’s Tigers swooped in with an interception and immediate touchdown, taking over the scoreboard 7-3.

With touchdowns by Brant Meredith and Keelan Jordan, another field goal by Ames and a two-point conversion by Meredith, the Liberators regained the lead 21-7.

After Ames’s third field goal, the score ticked up to 24-7. The Tigers then scored another touchdown and PAT, but Blake Goodman later sneaked his way into the end zone, freezing the score at 31-14.
