Saving Lives in the Ozarks Blood Drive

Posted

The Community Blood Center of the Ozarks is partnering with Citizens Memorial Hospital to host a community blood drive at the CMH Community Rooms from noon to 6 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 29.

Donors can enter to win one of four $1,000 gas cards, courtesy of Youngblood Auto Group.

Each donor will also receive a free shirt while supplies last. The “Saving Lives in the Ozarks” shirts name each of the communities whose patients benefit from the life-saving contributions of local blood donors.

Blood donors should prepare the day before and the morning of their donation by drinking plenty of water or juice and eating a well-balanced meal.

CBCO requires all donors to show a photo ID upon donating.

While walk-ins are welcome to participate, the blood center encourages attendees to help them manage wait times by making an appointment in advance.

To schedule an appointment or get more information, visit www.cbco.org/drive/ or call 417-227-5006.
