Sling ‘n Stones Hosts Recovery Awareness Event

Sling ‘n Stones Ministries is hosting a National Recovery Month Awareness event from 4 to 6
p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 17 at the First Christian Church, located at 407 W Broadway St.

A free dinner will be provided. The meal will include pulled pork and chicken, cheesy potatoes,
green beans, salad, rolls, dessert, and drinks.

Other activities will include door prizes, entertainment, special guests, and on-site recovery
resources.

Attendees can enjoy a performance by singer/songwriter Bruce Blakemore.

Special guests, including David Lewey of Community Partnership of the Ozarks and Kurt
Bravata of Citizens Memorial Healthcare, will speak on topics about drug addiction and recovery
in the community.
