Polk County Health Center took part in the annual World Breastfeeding Week by celebrating area pregnant and breastfeeding mothers on Friday, Aug. 9. Local businesses donated items to be given away during the event. Approximately 30 mothers as well as their children enjoyed visiting various booths, playing games and getting cooled off in the splash pad at Cribbs Youth Park.
