BFCC welcomes Daniel Ferguson

Bolivar Family Care Center recently welcomed Daniel Ferguson, FNP-C, to the clinic. 

Ferguson was formerly in practice at CMH Neurology Clinic, Bolivar, according to a CMH news release.



He earned a Bachelor of Science in nursing from Missouri State University, Springfield, and a Master of Science in nursing (family nurse practitioner program) from Vanderbilt University, Nashville, Tennessee, the release added. 

His practice includes family medicine, wound care and therapeutic procedures.

Ferguson is accepting new patients. BFCC accepts most major insurance plans, including Medicare and Medicaid. To schedule an appointment with Ferguson, call the clinic at 326-6021. 

Bruce, Phillips complete board training

Brandon Bruce and Tiffany Phillips, members of the Fair Play R-2 school board, recently completed training sessions sponsored by the Missouri Association of Rural Education.

The sessions, held at the Comfort Inn in Bolivar, help satisfy statute requirements that newly elected or appointed school board members must complete at least 16 hours of orientation and training within their first year, according to an R-2 news release.

Specific topics of the sessions included board responsibilities, public school laws, school finance, student assessment and district planning.  

Along with completion of pre-training requirements, attendance at the sessions fulfills the required 16 hours of certification. 

Mayor to speak at Networking at Noon



Bolivar Mayor Chris Warwick will give a State of the City address during the Bolivar Area Chamber of Commerce’s Networking at Noon luncheon at noon Thursday, June 13, in the Citizens Memorial Hospital Community Rooms. 

The cost is $6 per person for lunch, and the luncheon will last one hour.
