Invitation to Bid
The City of Fair Grove, Missouri is requesting bid proposals related to wastewater oxidation ditch and clarifier improvements. Bid proposals should be labeled "Bid Proposal for Wastewater Treatment Plant Equipment Improvements" and addressed to the City of Fair Grove, MO at PO Box 107, 81 S. Orchard Blvd, Fair Grove, MO 65648. Bids will be received by the City until 4 pm Prevailing Local Time, August 12, 2024 at the Fair Grove City Hall.
The proposed work generally includes the following:
A. Oxidation Ditch Direct Drive Rotor Conversion:
Bidder shall provide conversion of two existing Lakeside Oxidation Ditch rotors to Direct Drive Units (2). Complete units including new rotor shaft bearings, couplings, gaskets, pads, etc. shall be provided as recommended by the supplier. Motors shall be a minimum of 15 HP.
Old equipment shall be removed & new electric motors installed with speed reduction gearboxes, new rotor shaft bearings, new couplings & all necessary parts as needed for a properly operating system. Setup & a test run of the finished product shall be provided. Note: The (2) existing rotor shafts are to remain.
The City will dispose of old equipment & provide electrician to disconnect and reconnect wiring leads to the motor.
B. Clarifier Bearing Replacement
Bidder shall remove and replace the upper shaft bearing on (1) existing Lakeside Clarifier with compatible components.
Bidders shall be responsible for field verifying all requirements, coordinating all work, providing all labor, parts, and appurtenances, and all other work necessary to provide compatible components and a complete, properly operating system.
All contractors are subject to full compliance with all applicable laws, ordinances, rules and regulations.
Wage rates paid on construction work for this project shall be at least equal to the prevailing wage rates as specified in the project documents and determined by the Missouri Department of Labor and Industrial Relations.
The Contractor and his subcontractors will be obligated not to discriminate in employment practices.
The owner reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids. No bidder may withdraw his bid within 60 days after the actual date of the opening thereof.
