On Saturday, May 6, Berean Baptist Church is hosting the 9th Annual Berean Blacktop Battle. This is a 3-on-3 streetball tournament taking place at the Cribbs Family Youth Park (410 W. Madison St.), and is open to anyone, male or female, age 15 and up.
Registration begins promptly at 9:30 a.m. with the first games beginning at 10 a.m. Teams must consist of three players or three plus one substitute. Teams with four players will be allowed to substitute once per game.
All participants will receive a free commemorative t-shirt of the event to be distributed during registration. For all those who pre-register, the process will be much quicker. A specific t-shirt size can be requested upon pre-registration.
The registration fee is $10 per person. The winning team will be awarded both a trophy and individual medals from the 9th Annual Berean Blacktop Battle.
In order to pre-register, email the church directly at berean@windstream.net. Be sure to list the names of each player registering and also include the requested sizes for t-shirts.
