Today may be April Fools Day, but we aren’t joking around when we say that this is the Bolivar Herald-Free Press’ final Saturday publication.
The BH-FP will continue releasing newspapers on Wednesdays, but will publish on Fridays instead of Saturdays.
The BH-FP’s first Friday issue will be on April 7.
With this change, the BH-FP is also reworking their monthly Picturing Polk County photo contest.
Starting today, the public will be invited to share pictures of landmarks, people, places, animals, landscapes, events, and things they love about Polk County.
Then, instead of choosing a winning photo every month, the BH-FP will publish a collage of the submitted photos, as space allows, in the last Friday publication of every month.
All are welcome to participate. Photos can be sent to news@bolivarmonews.com or via a private message to the BH-FP Facebook page.
This month’s photo submissions are due by 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 26.
