Get ready, graduates!

Graduation season is almost here, as seniors and their families prepare for upcoming commencement ceremonies.

In the coming weeks, area schools will be hosting graduations to hand out diplomas and wish farewell to the Class of 2023.

Polk County high schools are planning their ceremonies on the following dates:

• Pleasant Hope High School, 7-8:30 p.m., Friday, May, 12, in the middle school gymnasium
• Fair Play High School, 7-8 p.m., Friday, May 12, in the high school gymnasium
• Humansville High School, 7-8 p.m., Friday, May 12, in the high school gymnasium
• Marion C. Early High School, 7-8 p.m., Friday, May 12, in the Wayne Keltner Field House at the high school
• Halfway High School, 7:30-8:30 p.m., Friday, May 19, in the high school gymnasium
• Bolivar High School, 3:30-4:30 p.m., Sunday, May 21, at Southwest Baptist University’s Jane and Ken Meyer Wellness and Sports Center

SBU graduations scheduled

Southwest Baptist University will be hosting three graduation ceremonies for the Spring 2023 graduates — one for bachelor’s degree recipients at 3 p.m. and one for associate degree recipients at 6 p.m. on Friday, May 19, and one for graduate degree recipients at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 20.

All ceremonies will be held in the Jane and Ken Meyer Wellness and Sports Center on the SBU Bolivar campus. The center is located at 1260 S Pike Ave.
