Last chance to send pillar nominations

There’s only a few days left for the public to submit nominations of Polk County pillars for the Bolivar Herald-Free Press’ Pride and Progress special section.

Polk County pillars are individuals who contribute to the betterment of the county. Nominations are due by 5 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 17.

One nominee will be selected for each of these five categories: health/wellness, education, agriculture, volunteerism, and entrepreneurship.

To submit a nomination, email news@bolivarmonews.com with the following information:

• Your name and contact information
• Nominees’ names and contact information
• The category for which they are being nominated
• Specific reason why the nominee should be selected

All nominees will be mentioned in the special section, which will be released on Wednesday, March 29.
