PSC hears Bolivar concerns on Sept. 19

The Missouri Public Service Commission (PSC) is holding an in-person public hearing to receive comments from customers in Bolivar’s water and sewer case filed by Liberty Utilities on Thursday, Sept. 19, at Bolivar's American Legion Hall, 1424 W. Broadway Street.

One session will be at noon, and one will be at 6 p.m.

During the meeting, the public will have a chance to address the PSC about Liberty's proposed rate hikes for Bolivar's water and sewer service.

Keep the following in mind when addressing the commission:

When speaking, community members should provide specific examples of how water and sewer rate increases would affect households and businesses in Bolivar.

Citizens will have a limited time to speak, so it will be important to have information organized before presenting it.

This is the community's opportunity to talk directly to the commission, which will ultimately approve or deny the proposed water and sewer increases. We strongly encourage everyone to attend one of the sessions to voice your concerns.

There's also a virtual meeting option if you can't attend in person. Visit https://psc.mo.gov/ for more information.
