Lt. Roger Barron recently graduated from the 2022-2023 Missouri Police Chiefs' Command College after completing the seven-month program. The ceremony was held in the Missouri State Capitol Rotunda in Jefferson City on Friday, April 7. Barron was one of 35 graduates from across the state.
The Missouri Police Chiefs’ Command College is designed to provide valuable training for current and future law enforcement supervisors, commanders, chiefs and sheriffs. The training provides not only command level training but also the opportunity for students to earn a master’s degree through Lincoln University.
“As we prepare our future leaders for the challenges of tomorrow, we must provide immersive educational and training opportunities,” Bolivar Police Chief Mark Webb said. “We are very proud of Lt. Roger Barron. I believe the benefits of this experience will impact the future delivery of services to the citizens of our community in a positive manner.”
Both Bolivar Mayor Christopher D. Warwick and City Administrator Thomas Relford echoed Webb’s sentiments.
“We are beyond proud of Lt. Barron and his efforts to better not only himself, but the Bolivar Police Department as a whole,” Warwick said. “It’s not every day someone completes a program of this caliber. Congratulations on a great accomplishment, Lt. Barron.”
“The sacrifices Lt. Barron made to complete this important program have not gone unnoticed,” Relford said. “He put in a lot of time and effort to complete this extensive training program, but it was certainly time and effort well spent. And, we hope others will follow suit. We’re dedicated to helping employees continue their education and training and achieve their goals. Thank you, Lt. Barron, for leading by example.”
