Matilda Polk Campbell chapter meeting

Posted

The Matilda Polk Campbell chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution, will hold its first monthly meeting for the new chapter year on Saturday, Sept. 17, at Open Hearts United Methodist Church, Bolivar.  This meeting will begin at 12:30 p.m. with a potluck salad luncheon.

There will not be a program for this meeting, this will be an organizational meeting preparing for the new chapter year.  During the meeting, the ladies will have the opportunity to sign thank you cards for an upcoming Day of Service project.  At the conclusion of the meeting, the ladies will exit the church to the corner of Main and Division streets where they will participate in Bells Across America in honor of Constitution Day and the beginning of Constitution Week.

The National Society Daughters of the American Revolution is a patriotic service organization for women who can trace their lineage to a Revolutionary patriot, who is someone who provided material benefit to the Revolutionary cause. Daughters are passionate about community service, preserving history, educating children, as well as honoring and supporting those who serve our nation.

All meetings are free and open to the public.
