Bolivar residents may experience some traffic delays due to street closures on Mo. 83.
A social media post by the City of Bolivar stated that the Missouri Department of Transportation will be implementing the closures to conduct pipe replacement work.
Drivers should be mindful of closures from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Mo. 83 at the following dates and locations:
• Wednesday, Dec. 7, between South 115th Road and East 412th north of Bolivar
• Thursday, Dec. 8, between South 106th Road and South 110th Road north of Bolivar
The post explained that travelers may receive instruction from flaggers in order to safely navigate past road crews.
“Drivers will be able to get to driveways and entrances on either side of the work zones, but will not be able to travel through the work zones. They are urged to find alternate routes,” the post said. “No signed detours are planned.”
In the event of weather or scheduling conflicts, changes to the road work schedule will be displayed on electronic message boards near the road work locations.
