Pleasant Hope woman hurt in Fair Grove wreck

A woman from Pleasant Hope was injured in a recent single-vehicle crash around 3:28 p.m. on Thursday, April 27 near Fair Grove.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, Amanda N. Newsom, 24, was eastbound in a 2007 GMC Sierra on Highway CC, two miles west of Fair Grove, when she traveled off the right side of the roadway, returned to the road, and then traveled off the left side of the roadway. She, then, struck a ditch and overturned.

Newsom, who as the report says was not wearing a seatbelt, had moderate injuries and was transported via ambulance to Mercy Hospital in Springfield.

Her vehicle was totaled and towed by Wades Towing of Elkland.

Tpr. M.D. Murrill, assisted by Cpl. D.L. Johnson, investigated the wreck.
