The Polk County Historical Society will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 22 at the Polk County Museum.
The speaker for this meeting is John Sellars, who will be telling us about the early settlers in this area. Mr. Sellars is the former executive director of the Springfield History Museum on the square.
The museum is located at 201 W. Locust, Bolivar, just across the street from the water tower.
This will also be the time for the annual business meeting. Members are encouraged to attend. The public is also welcome to attend this meeting.
